Q & A with Mark Riley; Inside Junior Tennis

Before I left for the Clay Courts, I had an opportunity to talk with Mark Riley about taking over the Men's Tennis program at Kalamazoo College and assuming the directorship of the Boys Nationals. The Tennis Recruiting Network published some of that conversation today.

After I returned from the Clays, The Tennis Podcast's Kevin McClure and I got together to discuss those National Championships, as well as the ITA's proposal to the NCAA to allow juniors to earn $10,000 without jeopardizing their college eligibilty, Jesse Levine and many other topics. Colette,

I have some questions regarding the live feed for the Zoo. Is it only center court? And if so, is any sort of order of play that could be released each day saying who will be playing on it? Thanks.

Austin,
It's just Court 1 at Stowe, but I don't know if there will be an order of play. There is a press release up now at ustaboys.com about it.

If you can please talk them into it that would be awesome. I have a strong feeling it will entice people to sign up more than they would without knowing who is going to be playing on court one. I asked a few people to get the word out about it and it seems like having an order of play would help get more people to sign up at least for the first few days, especially since it will cost $80 for the entire tournament. That's kind of expensive without an expense write-off. Maybe we could talk the USTA into paying for each organization to have one account for free, haha.
