Jesse Levine's Excellent Adventure

I'd heard at the Clays that Jesse Levine was in Dubai hitting with Roger Federer. Charlie Bricker of the Sun-Sentinel has the scoop.

What an experience. I sure hope Jesse stays in school one more year. Florida has a tremendous chance to win it all with Jesse leading the way.

Timing is everything and timing has exposed itself to Jesse Levine. If Jesse Levine leaves the Gators and college at this time, it could be the biggest mistake of his life. Let's just think for one second here...If he does well in Binghampton, the Bronx and/or the U.S. Open (which I believe he is a lock for a w/c), then he should go pro. That would be the right timing. If he doesn't do great, then he comes to g-ville and plays MORE PROFESSIONAL EVENTS IN THE FALL SEASON WHILE STILL GOING TO SCHOOL! Then in the spring, lead the gators to the NCAA title and the NCAA Singles Title (which he was hoping for this year). He is in a position where he can not only improve his body and his game for the big time, but also make sure he is ready to be successful. There are sooo many players out there that WISH they would have made the choice to try college tennis first. They are now floundering in the 400-900 range (which is where Jesse is right now)and wondering what they are going to do with their lives. Timing is everything and I wish JL all the success he deserves.
