Three Americans Qualify for Wimbledon Junior Championships; Eubanks Beats Norrie to Reach Third Round; Fonseca and Jamrichova Claim Roehampton J300 Titles; Farzam and Tu Champions at J60 in Orlando
Alanis Hamilton, Anya Murthy and Cooper Woestendick brought the total of Americans in the Wimbledon Junior Championships to 18, after all three won their final round qualifying matches at Roehampton in straight sets Friday.
The 16-year-old Hamilton, seeded No. 8 in the qualifying, defeated No. 10 seed Elena Bertea of Romania 6-4, 7-5, while the 17-year-old Murthy, seeded No. 9, defeated unseeded Carmen Herea, also of Romania, 6-4, 6-3. Woestendick, the No. 13 seed, beat unseeded Duncan Chan of Canada 6-2, 6-4. All three will be making their Wimbledon debut, and it's the first junior slam main draw for Woestendick. The fourth American in the final round of qualifying, Adhithya Ganesan, lost to No. 16 seed Carlo Caniato of Italy 7-5, 7-5. It was an impressive rebound for all three qualifiers as none of them advanced out of the qualifying for Roehampton.
Sixteen of the 32 first round singles junior singles matches are scheduled Saturday in both draws. Eight of the 18 Americans in the main draws are in action:

I was in transit for most of the day, so I didn't have a chance to follow the Wimbledon men's and women's singles closely, but with his second round win over No. 12 seed Cam Norrie, Christopher Eubanks has made the news here in London this evening. The former Georgia Tech All- American, who won his first ATP title last month on the grass in Mallorca, defeated Norrie, the former TCU All-American, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2, 7-6(3) on Court 1. He will play unseeded Christopher O'Connell Saturday for a spot in the second week.
Also advancing to the third round today was Madison Keys, who beat Viktoriya Golubic 7-5, 6-3. Jessica Pegula moved into to the fourth round with a 6-4, 6-0 win over Elisabetta Cocciaretto of Italy. Pegula's round of 16 opponent is unseeded Lesia Tsurenko. Sofia Kenin lost to Elina Svitolina 7-6(3), 6-2 in their third round match.

The ITF J300 in Roehampton concluded today, with No. 4 seed Renata Jamrichova of Slovakia and No. 8 seed Joao Fonseca of Brazil claiming the singles titles.
Jamrichova did not have to play the championship match, with No. 9 seed Tereza Valentova of the Czech Republic giving her a walkover to the title.
The 16-year-old Fonseca defeated No. 6 seed Iliyan Radulov of Bulgaria 6-3, 6-2 to capture his first ITF Junior Circuit singles title since 2021, and his first above the J30 level.
The boys doubles title in Roehampton went to Vit Kalina of the Czech Republic and Matic Kriznik of Slovenia, who beat Jan Hrazdil of the Czech Republic and Rei Sakamoto of Japan 6-3 2-6, 13-11.
The British pair of Ranah Stoiber and Mingge Xu, seeded No. 7, won the girls doubles championship, beating unseeded Australians Lily Fairclough and Maya Joint 4-6, 7-6(3), 10-6.
At the J60 in Florida, top seed Matisse Farzam won the boys singles title and unseeded Anita Tu took the girls single title. The 16-year-old Farzam defeated unseeded Nischal Spurling 6-1, 6-3 in the final for his first ITF Junior Circuit title. All five of his victories came in the straight sets.
The 14-year-old Tu also claimed her first ITF Junior Circuit title, defeating No. 3 seed Julieta Pareja 2-6, 6-0, 6-4 in the final.
In doubles, No. 4 seeds Dylan Jaen and Tanner Povey took the boys title, defeating No. 8 seeds Nathan Gold and Gray Kelley 6-1, 6-4. It's the third ITF Junior Circuit title for Povey and the first for Jaen.
The girls doubles champions are No. 2 seeds Carolina Bohrer Martins of Brazil and Aleksandra Kyselova of Ukraine, who defeated the unseeded team of Nancy Lee and Sydney Barnhart, 6-1, 6-3 in the final.
