Women's Australian Wild Card Playoff Starts Monday; Tournament for Boys 14s European Winter Trip Underway; USTA Announces Regional Training Centers
On Monday, eight teenage girls from the U.S. will begin play in a round robin tournament at Boca Raton to decide the wild card into next month's Australian Open. Scheduled to compete are:
Lauren Albanese 19
Madison Brengle 18
Gail Brodsky 17
Mallory Cecil 18
Vania King 19
Christina McHale 16
Asia Muhammad 17
CoCo Vandeweghe 17
The USTA also conducts a boys playoff for two of the three spots on the U.S. team that travels to Europe late next month for the Teen Tennis tournament in England and Les Petits As in France.
The boys competing are:

Roy Lederman
MacKenzie McDonald
Nikko Madregallejo
Jack Murray
Spencer Papa
Noah Rubin
The girls team is by invitation and hasn't been finalized yet.
The USTA announced Thursday that Racquet Club of the South in Atlanta and Junior Tennis Champions Center in Washington, D.C. have been named the first of two Regional Training Centers. For the complete release, see usta.com.

What happened to the program at the National Tennis Center? They built a new indoor center and there was always this talk about have a USTA High Performance center there.
