French Junior Champions; ITF International Grass Court Draws
Agustin Velotti of Argentina and Elina Svitolina of Ukraine won the French Open junior championships today at Roland Garros. Velotti defeated Andrea Collarini of the U.S. 6-4, 7-5 following Svitolina's 6-2, 7-5 win over Ons Jabeur of Tunisia. (Note to US Open officials: this is ideal junior final scheduling-one after the other before the men's final). For more from the finalists, see the article on the ITF Junior website. The Roland Garros website also had a short recap of the junior singles final.
The ITF International Grass Court Championships begin Monday at the Philadelphia Cricket Club, and I will be providing live coverage for the sixth consecutive year. Easter Bowl champion Bjorn Fratangelo is the top boys seed, with Alexis Carlos of Mexico seeded No. 2. Lauren Herring is the top girls seed, with Kelsey Laurente the No. 2 seed. Kyle McPhillips, seeded eighth, is also one of the favorites in the girls draw.
The four qualifiers for the boys 32-field are: Thai Kwiatkowski, Vikram Hundal, Richard Del Nunzio and Anthony Delcore. The four girls qualifiers are Nicolle Stracar, Maci Epstein, Hannah Camhi and Leighann Sahagun. All are from the U.S.
For complete draws, see the TennisLink site or ITF junior site.

Domijan signed with UVa. When you add him to a returning top 4, got to imagine the Hoos will ACTUALLY be the favorites next year in addition to having the top ranking, which they usually seem to have because of the indoor season.
