Still Raining in College Station

Although much lighter than it was, the rain is still falling in College Station, so prospects for completing the Georgia - Texas and Virginia - Southern Cal match are dicey.

Officially, warm-ups are scheduled for 8 p.m., matches at 8:30 p.m., but looking out the window, that seems very optimistic.

The Ole Miss - UCLA and Baylor - Ohio State quarterfinal matches will not be played today, but are tentatively scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Sunday.

Question for Collette and anyone else. Do you all think the matches that have already been started should be delayed til the morning since the bottom half of the draw isnt going to play today?

I say yes for various reasons. #1, it levels the fatigue factor out for all teams. #2, its not like the fans are going to show up at 9pm tonight anyway. #3, It allows the teams sitting and waiting for the delay to end to get a proper dinner and routine to get rest because obviously if they dont go on tonight they will be on early tomorrow morning and having them sit around til 8,9,10pm and still not play wouldnt be a good thing.

Plus tomorrow is supposed to be a day off, so its not like they are going to be behind by not playing tonight. I do think they made a good decision not going indoors, this is an outdoor tournament.

Thanks for keeping us updated Collette, the host website is really lacking, havent updated it since earlier today.
