Recaps of USTA 12s National Championships; Tennis Channel Segment on Nationals; Review of This Summer's UTR Pro Series Winners

Tennis Recruiting Network will be featuring its annual Championship Week with recaps of all the USTA National tournaments last week. They kicked off their coverage last Thursday, with an article on Tatum Evans' title at the Girls 16s in San Diego, then moved on to the 12s with articles on the wins by Julieta Pareja in Alpharetta and Jack Secord in Mobile.

The 14s roundups will be published Wednesday, and on Thursday, my recap of Alexander Rezaghi's title in the 16s will go up, followed by the 18s articles on Friday.

Tennis Channel aired a segment today on the USTA Nationals, with Andy Roddick and Lindsay Davenport sharing their experiences of playing those events. It is free to watch here.

The UTR Pro Tennis Tour has been the main source of income for many players this summer, and with so much else going on, I've neglected to post about them. Obviously, from the results below, Marcela Zacarias of Mexico has been the star of the show, but all the winners, many of them collegiate players, have earned enough money to offset their expenses as they work on their games in preparation for the fall collegiate season. The winners receive $3475, while the finalists receive $1750. You will recognize many of the names below from their junior or college careers.
