The US Davis Cup team takes the court Friday in Reno Nevada, taking on Colombia in a World Group qualifier. Sebastian Korda and Taylor Fritz were tapped for singles by Captain Mardy Fish, with Jack Sock, Rajeev Ram and Tommy Paul also on the team. Colombia's Nicolas Mejia will play Korda and Alejandro Gonzalez will take on Fritz. With neither Colombian inside the Top 200, the US is heavily favored, although strange things happen in Davis Cup every year. Doubles should be more competitive, with Colombia's team of Robert Farah and Juan Sebastian Cabal among the best in the world.

For a local perspective on the tie, see this Reno Gazette Journal article.
