Phillips to New Mexico; College Spotlight on Parr; USTA Summer Team Coaches Chosen

The matches start an hour later today, so I thought I would post a couple of college-related stories.

My weekly feature for The Tennis Recruiting Network is blue chip Jadon Phillips's announcement that he will be heading to University of New Mexico in the fall. I spoke to Phillips about his choice in Mobile, and although it wasn't the option he was initially envisioning, once he took an official visit, he was very comfortable with his decision.

Wake Forest senior Cory Parr is the subject of this week's College Tennis Spotlight at usta.com. And the USTA has announced that Wake's Chris Brandi and Virginia's Tony Bresky will head up the collegiate summer team for the men, while Amanda Augustus of Cal and Kathy Sell of Princeton will coach the women's summer team.
