Happy New Year! Weather Continues to Pose Problems at USTA Winter Nationals 14s and 12s in Tucson, Semifinals Set for Sunday at 18s and 16s in Lake Nona

Happy New Year everyone, especially those are at the USTA 14s and 12s Winter Nationals in Tucson. Wind, rain and temperatures in the 40s were an unwelcome beginning to 2022, and with the tournament already a round behind due to bad weather, it's not clear what the schedule will be for Sunday and Monday, although the weather forecast is much improved. The seed report through the third round is below, but it's difficult to say when the quarterfinal matchups might be determined given the delays today.

The only single digits seeds remaining are 1,2,4 in the boys 16s and 7 in the girls 18s. Girls 16s semifinalist Sophia Webster is the daughter of UCLA head coach Stella Sampras Webster.
