Colette, it may not be an “upset” since neither player is seeded, but for a someone from a tiny, rural school with an enrollment of roughly 1000 people to win a match against a highly regarded opponent from Southern California… well, that seems pretty noteworthy. If you had said before the season that Presbyterian (a D II school not long ago) had a player that could compete with players at the top of the Trojan lineup, I’m not sure many, or any, would have believed you. Presbyterian hasn’t been nationally known in tennis since the days of Allen Morris, also a former Davis Cupper and UNC coach.Go Blue Hosenoreply@blogger.com
