I remember one year DY and Stepanek made the semis of Washington and Stepanek got the SE the next wk because he was ranked higher.RobCnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10016685.post-79786623448400525072016-09-26T08:46:36.883-04:002016-09-26T08:46:36.883-04:00If he wasn't among qualifying acceptances for ...If he wasn't among qualifying acceptances for Tiburon, I don't believe he's eligible for an SE.Colette Lewishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14905215531491180014noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10016685.post-73801866104881365852016-09-25T23:15:36.288-04:002016-09-25T23:15:36.288-04:00For winning the challenger, does Torpegaard receiv...For winning the challenger, does Torpegaard receive any sort of SE or WC to a future challenger? I understand it was a bit of a fluke that 3 of the semifinalists were lower ranked, so the other 2 guys earned SEs into Tiburon. Did Torpegaard decline an SE or did he just have "bad luck" that two other higher ranked guys also were in line for SEs this week? Seems like if a lower ranked guy wins. Challenger, that player should receive some sort of SE or "floating" WC to be used at another Challenger level event. Congrats to Torpegaard and college tennis!<br />Wonderingnoreply@blogger.com
