Ole Miss is gonna take out Georgia rather easliy is my guess.

Illinois will be smarter this time over Ohio State...should be interesting.

Rice might also surprise Texas.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10016685.post-54938378345192671452008-05-01T22:50:00.000-04:002008-05-01T22:50:00.000-04:00Yeah, it's almost like it's setting up for a repea...Yeah, it's almost like it's setting up for a repeat of last year. I'll pick UCLA (with Abid). A toss up without.

As stated earlier in the year, a team has to win the doubles (which is possible) to have a chance against Virginia. With Somdev automatic and Angelinos close to it, it's so hard to win 4 singles. Particularly, when you know guys in the 2-5 slots have no margin for error. Winning 3 of those 4 is still difficult but definitely doable.

Other random thoughts. My initial guess is Ole Miss over Georgia. The Dawgs just can't seem to get over the injury hex this year.

Think Ohio St. will be feeling the pressure against Illinois? A close 4-3 last week and memories of last year's upset in the NCAAsAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10016685.post-2894825246537213332008-04-30T17:38:00.000-04:002008-04-30T17:38:00.000-04:001st Round UpsetsPenn St over VCUAuburn over Wake F...1st Round Upsets
Penn St over VCU
Auburn over Wake Forest
Boise St over California
Wisconsin over Washington

2nd Round Upsets
Texas Tech over Michigan
Alabama over Florida St

I am going to wait to pick the rest of the tourney til next week. However at first glance I only see UVA, UGA, Ole Miss and UCLA having a relatively easy time getting to the quarters. Other than those four making the quarters, I dont see another match out of the remaining eleven matches having a clear cut winner. Once those teams reach the quarters it could get really interesting. I also wouldnt put it past Bama to pull off the upset if they win doubles against UCLA. Same goes for UNC against Ole Miss. Going to be interesting.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10016685.post-23070708572229728982008-04-30T09:43:00.000-04:002008-04-30T09:43:00.000-04:00OK, prediction time.
