I should have mentioned in my intro that I did the conventional shorthand for the seeding. If a player was 5-8. 9-16, 17-32, I used the 1st number in the group.
As for the BYU walkover, its website site says. "Due to BYU policy regarding participation on Sunday, the Cougar duo will withdraw from Sunday’s final."Colette Lewishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14905215531491180014noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10016685.post-43984141518117058242014-10-23T08:25:02.896-04:002014-10-23T08:25:02.896-04:00@Alex--I believe that results in an extra at-large...@Alex--I believe that results in an extra at-large bid, but it could go to Wang. Also, the men's singles runner-up, Ashok Narayana of Columbia, was one of four 5-8 seeds, not the 5 seed as you indicate.

Columbia absolutely dominated the singles draw (96). Six players in the round of 16, four in quarters, three in semis and both finalists. In addition, its #8, who had to qualify, beat Yale's #2 from last year in the first round. And its #7 beat Harvard's #3/4 from last year in the round of 16.

Different topic/question: In the women's Mountain Regional, did the BYU doubles team not play in Sunday's final because of religious reasons? If this is the case, I find it quite surprising, considering BYU is a major, major athletic presence in this region and I'd think appropriate concessions would be made to accommodate the school's religious orientation.Ivy League Tennis Denizennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10016685.post-51637500472131890522014-10-21T21:07:01.482-04:002014-10-21T21:07:01.482-04:00With McDonald already in the field from ITA AA, wi...With McDonald already in the field from ITA AA, will there be an extra wildcard/at-large awarded or will Wang get the spot?
